Microsoft Band App Reviews

Bluetooth

App drops Bluetooth all the time. MS instructions require app update but the app is up to date. I like the design and features of the Band2 but MS seems so much less stable than Apple software. Plus the app design is not as simple as the Fitbit app and there should be much more integration between other vendors.

Not cooperative with iphone healthkit

The apps and device might be good enough to use as standalone device. But when it comes to sync your data with apple health, it will not do it. Actually there no option to do. I am giving 1 star because as an iPhone user Microsoft band is useless with apple devices. Hope everyone do the same to get Microsoft attention about such not professional step.

Ok app, no Apple HealthKit integration

I bought the MS Band 2. Am forced to use this app. It doesnt integrate with Apples HealthKit and the data is complicated to read. Not much trending to view and analyze. Like the Band 2, not really liking this app. There is also a bug in the app design. The "sync" button (not really a button) is next to "home". 90% of the time when I try to sync my band to the app it keeps taking me back to home. I have try to press with my finger as skinny as possible. Takes me 5-10 tries usually to get it to sync. Poor design.

Doesn’t sync reliably, poor HealthKit integration

The app has one main job — it should sync reliably, in the background, with my band. While I have it set to sync every hour, iIt doesn’t. This means that I have to open the app and manually sync, which involves trying to tap a very tiny target that is next to the home button and then waiting for often several minutes. This makes the app essentially useless for a quick glance at my recent history. I have tried several deletes and reinstalls, after which syncing works nicely for a day or two and then stops again. Additionally, either because of limits in HealthKit or, more likely, Microsoft’s desire to own my health data, the app will pull step data from HealthKit but will not insert steps, heart rate, UV, or any other data back into HealthKit.

On the right track but needs work

I got the band after struggling for years with another product that was very good, but didnt last very long, wasnt sturdy and I replaced more than 5 times in 3-4 years. I was very impressed by the capabilities of the Band 2, and the data it collects. But, like other users, I am concerned about the lack of interface with Apple Health. I want to be able to see all my data on one dashboard, not having to jump from one app to the next. So please, Microsoft: introduce the integration already. Ill change my review when that comes.

Massive sync problems, no integration with Apple Health

Sync doesnt work at least half of the time I try to do it. And the app doesnt push its data to the Apple Health app. Why bother making an iOS app if youre not going to fully integrate with iOS?

Good idea, execution needs work

App doesnt sync reliably, sometimes data wont load even after syncing. Work outs need more variety. App looks good and is great when it works...but it needs work. Hitting sync plugs it back to base view without syncing which is really frustrating. Syncing is also really slow when it does happen.

Was good, then it became really flakey

Seriously Microsoft. Updates stall repeatedly. Phantom emails and calls show up. Email notifications arrive late or not at all. It was working great before Christmas 2015, but thats all a memory. I know alot of band users with same issues, so its widespread. Hire some QA Testers and fix it.

Terrible

Used to work ok, recently stopped syncing. Even though device has GPS, my clock is stuck on the east coast and Im now in California. Followed all the help instructions, including power cycling phone and watch (glad to see Windows traditions alive on devices!) and even reinstalling the sw. No luck. One more complaint: when using gps tracker for sports, battery life gets short. Device is ok, particularly if you dont mind the clock being in the wrong time zone, but the software quality is so poor it has earned my first one star review.

Please fix bugs

I bought this to aid in tracking my sleep and activity. I was excited about the other features like the messages, phone calls, and calendar sync! Now none of them work. Even after turning Bluetooth on and off from both devices. My sleep no longer syncs to the app either!! My calendar, messages and phone calls no longer show up in my band! All that money and all I can do is count my steps!! Please fix these bugs soon!
